Engaging Peterborough: A Productive Weekend for the Station Quarter Project
By Martin Jenic
This past weekend, ECF spent two vibrant afternoons in Peterborough, engaging with the community about the Peterborough Station Quarter project. Our aim is to reimagine the area around the station, enhancing it to better serve the needs of residents, visitors, and businesses.
On Friday, we hosted our first pop-up event at Queensgate Shopping Centre. We set up exhibition boards and handed out leaflets to raise awareness of the project, communicate key aspects of the proposals, and gather feedback from local residents and shoppers. The turnout was fantastic, and we appreciated the thoughtful insights shared by those who stopped by to learn more about the project.
The second pop-up took place on Saturday in the city centre, right next to the iconic Guildhall and adjacent to the stunning Peterborough Cathedral. Once again, we had the pleasure of speaking with residents, business owners, and shoppers who provided valuable feedback on the proposals.
We are grateful to everyone who took the time out of their day to speak with us and share their thoughts. Your input is invaluable as we continue to consult on the needs and aspirations of the Peterborough community.
